Product Overview

The expert femoral intramedullary nail system consists of a main nail, locking screws, distal locking bolts, and end caps, manufactured from titanium alloy that conforms to ASTM F316. It is indicated for internal fixation of femoral shaft fractures, subtrochanteric fractures, and distal metaphyseal fractures. The main nail diameters range from 9-12mm (proximal 7cm enlarged to 13mm), with lengths of 32-42cm, featuring an anatomical curvature matching the femoral medullary cavity.

• Femoral shaft fractures
• Subtrochanteric fractures with intact lesser trochanter
• Distal metaphyseal fractures (nail tip positioned between the patellar superior pole and epiphyseal line)

Contraindications

• Severe osteoporosis or bone defects
• Uncontrolled infection in open fractures
• Skeletally immature patients

Surgical Technique

1. Entry Point: Open at the apex of the greater trochanter, insert guidewire, and ream 1mm larger than the nail diameter.
2. Nail Insertion:
   2.1 Align the nail curvature with femoral anatomy. Advance gently using a sliding hammer until the proximal end aligns with the greater trochanter and the distal end reaches the patellar superior border.
   2.2 Avoid rotational forces during insertion.
3. Locking Screw Placement:
   3.1 Proximal Locking: Drill through the targeting jig, tap, and insert bicortical screws.
   3.2 Distal Locking: Use C-arm guidance for static or dynamic locking.
4. End Cap Installation:
   Thread the non-threaded cap into the nail tail until flush with the greater trochanter.
